Smeg among the green stars of Italy

Two hundred companies committed to green strategies, the ITQF Institute awards Italy’s most sustainable

On World Earth Day, celebrated on 22nd April every year, the German Institute for Quality and Finance (ITQF) in collaboration with the Institute for Management and Economic Research (IMWF) of Hamburg, published the results of the survey “Italy’s 200 Green Stars – a ranking of the most sustainable companies, 2021”, including two hundred of the best companies committed to improving their environmental and social impact.

With a sustainability score of 100.0, Smeg was awarded first position in the “Consumer Durables” category.

The survey, which according to the Institute is the most in-depth research on online reputation in the field of sustainability in Italy, makes use of a totally innovative method known as “social listening” based on more than one million online sources: dossiers, comments and press releases.

This award validates Smeg's long-standing commitment to social and environmental sustainability, as well as its commitment to community well-being.

The survey published by ITQF is an opportunity for the company to shed light on a variety of activities and initiatives underpinning an ongoing path towards the goal of sustainable development and regeneration.
