Smeg Washer Disinfectors installed at Penninsula Dental School Plymouth

We’re proud to have completed the handover of three new market leading Smeg Instruments WD7015T Washer Disinfectors onsite at Penninsula Dental School in Plymouth, on time and budget.

Working alongside BMM Weston, who commissioned and installed the largest washer disinfectors in the Smeg range, on the site of University of Plymouth’s new world class dental school facility.

The smartest washers in their class, finished in medical grade stainless steel and glass not only look great, but are designed with robust disinfection and wash performance, able to absorb the capacity demands of active research and teaching programmes carried out at the school, along with 10,000 external patients visiting annually.

The WD7015 operates fast disinfection cycles and used widely by central sterile services departments (CSSD) with the equipment washing up to 95°C for thorough antibacterial thermal disinfection. With a capacity of 18 DIN baskets, choice of 20 default + 20 custom programmes, fast cycles take just 33 minutes, all operated from colour touch screen controls and password protected operation. The equipment is equipped with FAST cycles (max. 33 minutes) and the machines also feature Smeg’s high pressure hot air drying system with double absolute 99.999% HEPA filters.
