Smeg is an Italian family-run company with headquarters in Guastalla (RE), with 5 production plants in Italy, and a producer of electric appliances since 1948. It operates worldwide through sales branches, representative offices and a capillary network of distributors.
Smeg Instruments has stood for quality medical and laboratory equipment for over 30 years.
Having consolidated its position in the home appliances sector, Smeg diversified its production with the addition of new professional divisions: one dedicated to food service, Smeg Foodservice, and, in 1985, one dedicated to washing and disinfection, Smeg Instruments.
Making the most of the knowledge gained in the washing sector, the first professional glassware washers were produced. Changing performance and certification requirements then quickly led to the development of machines compliant with standards in the medical sector: instrument washers complete with increasingly high-performance and specific baskets and trolleys.
Faced with a particularly demanding market in terms of performance and flexibility, Smeg Instruments subsequently launched a new range of professional refrigeration products.
Smeg has a total of 5 production facilities, of which two: Frimed and Bonferraro, are dedicated exclusively to the products of their division.
Know-how, creativity and sophistication are the hallmarks of Smeg’s Italian spirit and its ongoing commitment to creating professional appliances that meet market demands.
Not only efficient products that can meet the most diverse washing and storage needs, but also solid machines with a sophisticated design that will make any workplace a more pleasant place to work.
Certified laboratories, through their knowledge of the materials and the most advanced technology, thus interpret the needs of industry professionals, developing products that express essential qualities such as durability, safety, flexibility of use and efficiency.
Constant and strict testing during the entire production process is proof of the commitment to ensuring total reliability.
Moreover, thanks to increasingly advanced interfaces and various programming solutions, every Smeg product successfully responds to multiple needs with a view to ensuring maximum ease of use and smart resource management.
Supported by a widespread technical service throughout Italy and worldwide, Smeg looks after its customers at every stage of the product’s life. In Italy, commissioning and staff training is carried out by specialised personnel trained directly by Smeg, just like the after-warranty service.
The technical service centre guarantees training and support for technicians worldwide through multilingual ad hoc staff. Choosing Smeg means having access to a timely after-sales service with a 24-hour delivery time for spare parts and rapid solutions to every problem.
